Our annual winter camp takes place from Friday 7 February – Sunday 9 February at the Trouville Hotel Bournemouth. It’s open to SSKA members only and their friends and family.

FREE Instructor’s Information Course
On Sunday 26 January we are holding our annual FREE instructor’s information course at Dorcan Recreation Complex, St. Paul’s Drive, Swindon SN3 5BY from 3-5pm.
This course is for all instructors, including junior instructors and anyone 4th Kyu and above who would like to become an instructor and run a SSKA club.
The course will give you new ideas about teaching your students, advice on how to promote your club and a chance to concentrate on your own karate progress.

Spring Camp – Book your place by 31 January
The Southern Shotokan Karate Association are hoping to run a Spring Camp in Exmouth from Saturday 25 April to Sunday 26 April 2020. The Camp will take place at the NEW Premier Inn Exmouth.
The course is for black belts and 1st Kyu’s only (aged 16 years and over). This is a specialist course concentrating on all technical areas in Shotokan Karate.
The course will be run by Sensei Cole, 7th Dan. There are only 20 places available so book you place now. For full detail download the information sheet here.

Wednesday lessons return on 8 January
Sensei Cole’s Wednesday lessons in Swindon start back on 8 January. The lessons take place at Dorcan Recreation Centre, St.Paul’s Drive (the same as our Swindon grading centre). Lesson starts at 7.00 until 8.30pm.

There’s still time to return your grading forms
Providing your grading forms, full payment and licence reach us before your chosen grading date we will waive the usual surcharge of £10. Any forms submitted on the day will incur the surcharge.
