UPDATE: Exeter & Salisbury Grading

At the moment both Salisbury and Exeter Gradings will go ahead as planned this weekend. We will be monitoring the weather conditions closely, as our students safety is our priority. We will let you know as soon as possible of any cancelled grading and will post updates on our website and facebook page.

Applications for our 2019 Competition now open

Following the success of our 2018 competition, we are launching our Kata & Kumite Competition which takes place on Sunday 14 July at Dorcan Recreation Complex, Swindon.

 

Applications are now open and forms can be downloaded here.

Trophies awarded to 1st, 2nd & 3rd places. All competitors will receive a certificate and a medal. Gum Shields, Mitts and Shin Guards must be worn when competing in kumite.

Prices: Competitors: £15.00 per person per entry. Spectators: £5.00 per person

**SPECIAL OFFER FOR EX-SSKA MEMBERS**

If you were previously a member of the SSKA we are offering you the opportunity to return to the SSKA without having to pay a membership fee. Simply renew your licence for the current year and return at your current grade.

Ex-members can also take advantage of one FREE lesson at our Swindon Dojo training with Sensei Cole. Lessons are fortnightly starting from Wednesday 10th January, 7-9pm at Lawn Manor Academy (aka Churchfields School) Salcombe Grove, Swindon SN3 1ER.

FREE Instructors Course 21 January

Our FREE instructors course takes place at Dorcan Recreation Complex, St. Paul’s Drive, Swindon, SN3 5BY from 3pm-5pm on Sunday 21 January. This course is for all instructors, including junior instructors as well as anyone who would like to become an instructor and run an SSKA club.

The course will give you ideas about teaching your students and advice on promoting your club. We will also be covering judging and refereeing in preparation for the SSKA competition. For further information contact grading@sska.co.uk.
